Sponsored by the WashU Film Club, with support from WashU’s Program in Film and Media Studies, the WashU Film Festival seeks to highlight the best in collegiate filmmaking from across the country.

WashU Film Festival is currently accepting submissions through FilmFreeway until August 12th, 2024.
All submitted films will be eligible for the Festival’s Grand Prize, the Golden Bunny, named after WashU’s infamous “Thinker Bunny” statue.
We are proud to accept Early Bird submissions free of charge until July 22nd. Please visit us on FilmFreeway to submit your film(s) and view our eligibility guidelines.


Films will be selected for inclusion in the festival by a board of student programmers and film majors. Entrants will be notified by September 1st, 2024 of their selection in the festival. During the festival weekend, category winners will be voted on by a panel of film and media professors. Regardless of acceptance, all entrants are invited to attend the festival, hosted on campus at Washington University in St. Louis.
